2016 Bordeaux Futures - Released Today
Case Price
Château Angelus (6 bottle case)
99-100 JS
"Incredible depth of fruit to this Angélus, which is dense yet also agile and energetic. There’s just so much dynamic fruit and tannin structure. Makes you want to taste and taste. What a young wine! We will see if 2016 is better than 2015. Both are great." (99-100 points) JamesSuckling.com, April 4, 2017
Château Pavie (6 bottle case)
98-100 WA
"...very intense bouquet that is extremely well-defined and shrugs off that higher alcohol level. You can find the graphite vein courtesy of the Cabernet Sauvignon and the underlying tension..." (98-100 points) Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #230, April 2017
Château Quintus (6 bottle case)
93-96+ AG
"One of the real surprises of the vintage...Creamy and ample on the palate, with striking depth to its dark, fleshy fruit, it possesses exceptional balance...The 2016 is the first vintage in which I can say Quintus is not missing anything...exceptionally vivid and nuanced, with seemingly endless layers of fruit that virtually cover the tannins, and a long, sublime finish." (93-96+ points) Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, April 2017
Les Aromes de Pavie [2nd wine of Ch. Pavie] (6 bottle case)
93-94 JS
"A fresh and vibrant second wine of Pavie with ultra-fine tannins and a pretty finish. Lovely length. Lively." (93-94 points) JamesSuckling.com, April 4, 2017
Carillon de l'Angelus [2nd wine of Ch. Angélus] (6 bottle case)
94-95 JS
"This is a fantastic second wine with walnut, berry, stone and bark character. The texture is really excellent with a chewy yet ultra-polished mouthfeel. Long and intense. Better than the 2015." (94-95 points) JamesSuckling.com, April 4, 2017
Le Dragon de Quintus [2nd wine of Ch. Quintus] (6 bottle case)
92-93 JS
"A salty and minerally red with plums, leaves and tobacco and lots of blackberries. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a crisp finish. Second wine of Quintus." (92-93 points) JamesSuckling.com, April 4, 2017
