"Incredible depth of fruit to this Angélus, which is dense yet also agile and energetic. There’s just so much dynamic fruit and tannin structure. Makes you want to taste and taste. What a young wine! We will see if 2016 is better than 2015. Both are great." (99-100 points) JamesSuckling.com, April 4, 2017

"...very pure, fragrant bouquet with black cherries, cassis, cedar and wet limestone, extremely precise to the point...sensational: understated at first and bridled with ultra-fine tannin, it is a Beychevelle armed with a disarming sense of symmetry. It builds in the mouth towards a fabulously tensile finish..." (96-98 points) Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #230, April 2017

"......a very intense bouquet that is extremely well-defined and shrugs off that higher alcohol level. You can find the graphite vein courtesy of the Cabernet Sauvignon and the underlying tension..." (98-100 points) Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #230, April 2017

"One of the real surprises of the vintage...Creamy and ample on the palate, with striking depth to its dark, fleshy fruit, it possesses exceptional balance. All of the previous vintages have been good, but each of them has lacked something. The 2016 is the first vintage in which I can say Quintus is not missing anything...exceptionally vivid and nuanced, with seemingly endless layers of fruit that virtually cover the tannins, and a long, sublime finish." (93-96+ points) Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, April 2017

"This is a fantastic second wine with walnut, berry, stone and bark character. The texture is really excellent with a chewy yet ultra-polished mouthfeel. Long and intense. Better than the 2015." (94-95 points) JamesSuckling.com, April 4, 2017

"I wrote that the 2015 was incredible, and this 2016 is again. It’s equally structured and powerful as the 2015, yet there’s an underlying intellectual serenity to this wine. You taste it, and you want to know and experience it even more. Full and tannic yet ever so polished and beautiful. Mesmerizing. Made from biodynamically grown grapes." (99-100 points) JamesSuckling.com, April 4, 2017

"...a wonderful bouquet, very pure and fresh...The palate is very well balanced with fine tannin, extremely well judged acidity, the new oak present at the moment but in proportion with the fruit...very sensual and luxuriant with layers of crushed strawberry, blood oranges and raspberry fruit. In a word...irresistible." (96-98 points) Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #230, April 2017
