NV Agrapart & Fils, Les 7 Crus

Côte des Blancs, Avize

$45.00 per Bottle

25 Bottles

"Agrapart's NV Brut 7 Crus now routinely includes some 10% Pinot Noir, and the latest rendition is based on the 2016 vintage, supplemented by fully 40% from 2015. This bottle was disgorged in May 2019 with seven grams per liter dosage. Offering up aromas of rips citrus fruit, yellow apples and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and vinous, with a comparatively open-knot, fleshy profile, concluding with a chalky and precise finish." "The NV Brut 7 Crus 1er Cru is a powerful, intense wine. This is an especially vinous style for Agrapart, but it all works nicely. Lemon peel, white flowers, mint and white pepper give the 7 Crus its decidedly pointed, vibrant personality, while a dollop of Pinot Noir (10%) adds weight through the mid-palate and into the finish. The 7 Crus is a terrific introduction to the Agrapart house style. Did I mention it is also absolutely delicious? The current release is a blend of equal parts 2014 and 2013, done partly in oak and partly in tank. Dosage is 7 grams per liter. Disgorged: March 2016." Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com

"Spiced with licorice snap, pickled ginger and clove, this is firm and focused, with flavors of green apple, white peach and lemon peel. The mineral undercurrent pushes through on the finish. Drink now through 2018." Wine Spectator

"Apple scented, quite pure. Lovely tarty apple. A zippy wine, not much autolysis but would be so refreshing on a hot day. Like a sherbetty apple sorbet." Tamlyn Currin, JancisRobinson.com
