2015 Château Nénin

"Classic Pomerol character of black olives, wet earth, violets and dark fruit. Full-bodied, tight and silky-textured with fabulous texture. Stones and dark berries. So serious and real. The depth is like looking down a well. Give it three to four years to integrated but already beautiful. Try in 2023 and onwards." JamesSuckling.com

"The 2015 Nenin was one of the most pleasant surprises of my tastings of bottled 2015s, as the wine has really come together nicely since I tasted it from barrel. Deep, pliant and wonderfully fleshy, the 2015 has so much to offer. Above all else, it is flat out delicious. Soft contours add to the wine's considerable near and medium-term appeal." "Lush and ripe, set apart in this vintage by good, juicy energy that allows the plum sauce, raspberry pâte de fruit and cherry compote flavors to be vibrant and engaging, backed by red licorice and singed vanilla details on the straight-backed finish. Best from 2022 through 2035. 2,667 cases made." Wine Spectator

"The 2015 Nénin has a perfumed red currant and wild strawberry scented bouquet laced with tar and cedar, quite pure and delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with edgy tannin, a fine bead of acidity, plenty of graphite-tinged black fruit with a spicy and rather persistent finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting." Neal Martin, Vinous.com

"Very dark and precise-looking - quite different from the Fugue. Rich but tense. Lots of heady ripeness but some structure too. I'm sure the press wine is doing a great job. Very luscious. Attention-grabbing without being at all exaggerated." JancisRobinson.com
