"The 2017 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a very precise bouquet, a little introverted at first, that features a mixture of red and black fruit and seems to grow in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with touches of tobacco and graphite lacing the dark plum and blackberry fruit. Very harmonious and long in the mouth, displaying a touch of brine toward the long finish. Excellent." Neal Martin, Vinous.com

"This too is firmly reduced though the moderate wood treatment is perceptible. By contrast here too there is a succulent and caressing mouthfeel to the solidly concentrated and relatively powerful flavors that possess excellent punch on the lingering and youthfully austere finish that really fans out as it sits on the palate. There is a hint of warmth but overall this notably firm effort remains quite well-balanced." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 73

"Aromas of warm spices, espresso roast, grilled game and dark chocolate complement notions of dark plum and berry fruit, introducing Grivot's 2017 Echézeaux Grand Cru, a full-bodied, ample and expansive wine with a generous core of fruit, fine tannins and a giving, open-knit profile. This will drink well in its youth." William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Interim Issue

"Light crimson. Ripe, pure red fruit. Deeply inviting, the fruit just very slightly darker in character than the Clos de Vougeot but still delicate for this appellation. Sour-cherry intensity. Tannins are a work of art, so fine but giving the perfect shape for the fruit. Fresh and incredibly persistent." Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com
