"Bara's 2006 Brut Grand Cru Comtesse Marie de France, 100% Pinot Noir, is superb. Ample and creamy on the palate, with terrific freshness and overall intensity, the 2006 is incredibly expressive today. Hints of lemon confit, chamomile, dried herbs, yellow orchard fruit and dried flowers all grace this exquisite, inviting Champagne. The 2006 has enough pedigree and class to drink well for another decade or more. I loved it. Disgorged: March, 2018. Dosage is 8 grams per liter." Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com

"Heavy yeast influence is present on the petrol and brioche aromas that include exotic yellow orchard fruit compote-like nuances. There is a spicy inner mouth perfume to the lush and very rich flavors that are supported by a moderately firm mousse and citrus-tinged acidity that help to maintain the balance. This is a notably fullflavored Champagne that isn’t necessarily particularly elegant but it’s certainly no shrinking violet. I would add that for my taste this is drinking perfectly now though it could certainly be held for even another 5-ish or so years." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 76
