"This has a carefully arranged array of violets, cedary oak and earth-dusted blackberries. The palate is very silky, elegant and yet effortlessly deep-flavored, delivering suave, velvety tannin richness bathed in dark, ripe summer berries. Impressively silky, glossy finish here. Try from 2022." JamesSuckling.com

"Solidly built, with a core of dark plum and blackberry preserve flavors leading the way, backed by a tasty ganache note. Notable flashes of tobacco and warm earth course through the fleshy finish. Best from 2022 through 2032. 2,633 cases made." Wine Spectator

"The La Grave is a muscular, authoritative Pomerol. Here the flavors are dark and intense, while the wine's vertical sense of structure adds to an impression of brooding, virile power. Black cherry, lavender, menthol, scorched earth and grilled herb inflections, along with potent tannins, give La Grave its distinctly baritone voice. I would prefer to cellar the 2015 for at least a few years and see what develops." Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com

"The 2015 La Grave a Pomerol has a tertiary bouquet with its signature gravel-like aromas percolating through the black brambly fruit, although I would like to see more vigor develop in bottle. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, quite plush red and black fruit laced with white pepper and sage, the finish cohesive and conveying impressive delineation. This is a very fine La Grave that should age with style. Anticipated maturity: 2020 - 2035." Neal Martin

"Deep crimson. Heady and rather compelling on the nose. Some lift and sinew. Not dramatic or flashy but very comfortable to drink." JancisRobinson.com
