"A more elegant if much less spicy nose offers up notes of essence of red cherry, currant, violet and pungent earth scents. The difference in texture is extraordinary as here the medium weight plus flavors are sleek and polished while culminating in a sneaky long and palate coating finish. I like the balance and this should be capable of aging effortlessly." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 69

"Bright full red. Inviting aromas and flavors of raspberry, smoked meat and rose petal. At once gentle and energetic, with its silky texture enlivened by a sappy quality. Has the stuffing to support its ripe tannins on the persistent finish. Incidentally, Roumier just purchased these vines, which he had previously worked under a metayage arrangement with owner Jean-Pierre Mathieu." Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com
