Côte de Beaune, 1er cru
$70.00 per Bottle
"Tasting note: There is enough reduction present to flatten the fruit so if you're tempted to try a bottle young I would advise giving this a quick decantation. The notably finer middle weight flavors possess a lovely sense of underlying tension and fine detail that continues onto the overtly stony, intense and citrus-inflected finish. This chiseled effort will also need a minimum of 2 to 4 years of bottle age to flesh out and add depth but it should be worth the wait as this is really quite lovely." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 59
"Already in bottle, the 2013 Meursault Blagny 1er Cru has an austere, but focused, minerally bouquet that opens nicely in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a dash of lemongrass and it fans out nicely on the spicy finish. This should offer drinking pleasure over the next decade." Neal Martin, eRobertParker.com #216
