"More apple than peach on the nose, lifted by a citrus note and a hint of ginger. Silky and densely packed; more powerful than the preceding examples but displaying noteworthy energy for the vintage. Finishes firm, spicy and long, with an element of orange oil and an almost tannic phenolic quality. These vines were planted in 1991." Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com
(AG, 09/01/2017)

Rating: 91-92

"A difficult nose consists solely of leesy reduction today. Otherwise the opulent, suave and exceptionally rich, ripe and very generously proportioned medium weight plus flavors also brim with sappy dry extract, all wrapped in a powerful and muscular finish that, interestingly given the impressive size and weight, avoids any sense of heaviness, in fact it's positively zesty. That said, this will also be approachable young if that's your preference." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 67
