TASTING NOTES

"As is usually the case, this is the most elegant and refined wine in the range with a pure, cool and airy nose of spiced pear and mineral reduction where the stony character suffuses the intense and gorgeously detailed medium-bodied flavors as well as the driving and explosive finish. This is a stunning effort that should offer superb upside development potential and last for two decades." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 43

"Very reticent nose suggests ripe stone fruits, lemon peel, minerals, crushed stone and white truffle. Sweet and thick on entry, with ripe white peach and mirabelle flavors dominating. The wine's mineral element kicks in on the back, giving it a light touch and good inner-mouth perfume. Finishes broad, aromatic and dry, with a whiplash of flavor and a slight youthful aggressiveness. Needs six or seven years in the cellar." Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com

"The 2009 Meursault Perrières blossoms on the palate with layers of rich, textured fruit. It shows gorgeous mid-palate presence and plenty of persistence. Crushed rocks and all things mineral frame the energetic finish. This is powerful, intense and beautiful." Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com

"Displays attractive, high-toned flavors of lime candy, apple, honey and butterscotch. This has cut and a creamy texture, with fine length. Drink now through 2018. 120 cases imported." Wine Spectator
