"A very powerful wine with such intense chalky, stony aromas, as well as white almonds and flinty, reductive elements. Yellow grapefruit and white peaches, too, together with all forms of lemon, from juice to pith, peel, butter and curd. The palate has a very, very intense stream of such concentrated, intense, ripe and powerful fruit. Plenty of white peaches, lemons and grapefruit here, too. The phenolics are so well captured. With air it turns into an absolute torrent of flavor. Drink or hold." JamesSuckling.com

"The 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from vines planted in the 1940s in Les Longuettes and comprises just two barrels. There is a slight reduction on the nose that makes it difficult to read at the moment. The palate is very promising with a fine bead of acidity, good concentration, a slightly waxy texture and a persistent, brioche-tinged finish. One to watch." Neal Martin, Vinous.com
