"Bright yellow. Aromas of orange zest and spiced apple are lifted by a floral topnote. Understated, juicy and laid-back, showing attractive lift and a light touch for this premier cru, which Lafon obviously harvested very early. Still quite tight, even a bit lean, following the bottling, this may be better than it's showing today." Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com

"Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, the 2014 Meursault 1er Cru Bouchère, which Dominique Lafon bottled using Diam 30 closures, has a touch of oyster shell on the marine-influenced bouquet, a hint of orange blossom later. So far, so good. The palate is fresh on the entry with mandarin and grapefruit notes, though it seems to lose some of its initial complexity and then unexpectedly finishes in rather ordinary fashion. Perhaps it is just a matter of time?" Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #233
