"Aromas of Anjou pear, pastry cream, lime zest and white flowers introduce the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant wine that's pure, lively and incisive, with a precise, floral finish. This is another cuvée with the structural tension to reward a few years' bottle age." William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Interim Issue

"There is a curious hint of apple cider to the lemon zest, essence of white orchard fruit and matchstick nuances. The medium-bodied flavors possess even better intensity thanks to the citrus-tinged acidity shaping the bone dry and somewhat lean finish. This moderately persistent effort definitely needs at least a few years of bottle age to better flesh out." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 75

"Intense nose of oak and a little bit of sulphur-derived compounds – which I realise is now relatively rare in white burgundy! A bit tight and tough. With some sweetness." JancisRobinson.com
