"Interestingly, the 2007 Coeur de Cuvée comes across as a bit more youthful than the 2008 tasted alongside it. Another year in bottle seems to have only brought out the wine's freshness and energy. Freshly cut flowers, pears, mint and almonds are some of the signatures, but it is the wine's vivacity that I find most striking today. The 2007 is a bit less creamy and multi-dimensional than the 2008, but it is impressive just the same. Disgorged May, 2014." Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com

"An 80/20 split between chardonnay and pinot noir, this has an ethereal spicy thread, sweet citrus, plus some redder fruits too; floral and fragrant, very pretty. The palate's boldly flavored, precisely cut and compressed with intense minerally acidity. The lemon and nougat flavors carry deep and the finish has superb focus. Drink from 2018." JamesSuckling.com

"The 2007 Coeur de Cuvée Premier Cru Brut was disgorged in May 2014 and offers a deep, ripe and rich bouquet with hazelnut, and some ginger and floral flavors. Rich and creamy on the palate, this is a round, very elegant and firmly structured Champagne; it has good grip and fruit intensity in the finish. "A cool and highly restrained nose features plenty of citrus and petrol characters to the yeasty apple, pear and acacia blossom aromas. As is usually the case with all of the Vilmart cuvées, the mousse is really quite fine and the middle weight flavors possess outstanding intensity before culminating in a bone dry finish that flirts with austerity but doesn't quite move over the edge. For my taste this is still very much on the way up and while it could be drunk now, I would suggest holding it for another 3 to 5 years so that more overall depth can develop."
