TASTING NOTES

"Light orange. Sharply focused red berry and tangerine scents are complicated by suggestions of allspice and cinnamon, with a hint of smokiness in the background. Sappy and minerally on the palate, offering fresh strawberry and blood orange flavors lifted by juicy acidity. Packs a serious punch but carries no excess weight and finishes stony and very long, with echoing red berry character." Josh Raynolds, Vinous.com

"Strawberry and pomegranate-infused yeasty autolysis aromas with freshly baked pastry and fresh bready notes. The palate has ripe peach fruits, strawberries and some hints of pink grapefruit. Sweetness, richness and a lively acid kick. Berry pie finish. Drink now." JamesSuckling.com

"Very very pale golden salmon. Only just pink. Complex and well knit on the nose - so much better than the Clicquot and Ruinart rosés tasted alongside! Dry finish after a strawberry fruity explosion on the palate. Long. A distinctive style and no excess of acidity. Good for now." JancisRobinson.com

"Premier and grand cru sites provide the grapes for this smooth Rosé. With 45% Chardonnay, 55% Pinot Noir (of which 18% is added red wine), the successful aim has been to avoid tannins and celebrate the exuberant flavors of red fruits. Rosepetal hue; aromas of rosehip, spice, and strawberry; orchardfruits palate, with a glissant mouthfeel. Fresh, elegant, and poised." Michael Edwards, The World of Fine Wine, Issue 49
