Olivier Bernstein at HDH Retail
HDH Retail is pleased to share a wonderful selection of wines from Olivier Bernstein. Established in 2007 as a mini-négociant, Bernstein has quickly risen to become one of Burgundy’s premier wine producers. His goal is to produce small quantity, high-quality wines from the finest old vine Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the region. His wines are known for their purity, brightness, and precision, and are unmatched in power and concentration. In recent vintages, Bernstein has adjusted his winemaking to complement the power with finesse, achieved through shorter maceration times, an adjusted oak regimen, and increased whole cluster vinification.

Bernstein's 2017 vintage is marked by the wines’ elegance. They offer a range of complex fresh fruits, fine and satiny tannins, and impressive balance. Don't miss the highly rated 2017 Mazis-Chambertin which Julia Harding MW states has "...Excellent harmony in a baby wine. Lots of freshness within the powerful framework."

Don’t miss the 2016 Premier Cru Assortment which offers a great way to explore the range of wines from Bernstein. The 2016s from Bernstein are delicate and have excellent aromatic complexity. Olivier himself notes: "The 2016s show the magic of Burgundy in their subtlety and finesse…"
