Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. will hold its final live auction of the season on Thursday, June 20th, Friday, June 21st, and Saturday, June 22nd. The sale will be held at Spiaggia in Chicago and begin at 8:30am CT each day. Valued at an estimated $6-9 million, the June Auction of Finest & Rarest Wines features 3,395 lots of incredible diversity and provenance.

The June sale boasts a host of wines that are sure to please every palate. Thursday’s session showcases An Encyclopedic Selection of Exceptional Wine Featuring Bordeaux Including Two Bottles of 1947 Cheval Blanc (lots 295-370). The collection also features full cases of 1989 Château Haut-Brion (lot 308, est. $17,000-26,000); 1990 Côte Rôtie, La Turque, Guigal (lot 358, est. $6,000-9,000); and 6 bottles of 1988 Krug, Brut (lot 364, est. $3,000-4,500). We have been working with the owners – and now friends – of this collection for almost three decades and the wines have always been carefully purchased and stored.

• 35 lots of Scarecrow Wine Cabernet Sauvignon (est. $54,350-81,400)
• 21 lots of Georges Roumier (est. $38,350-56,450)

Friday includes A Broad Selection of Exalted Producers with a Focus on Bordeaux, Champagne, and California (lots 1576-1860). The California wines offered in this collection are impeccable and include 13 vintages of Harlan, 22 lots of Sine Qua Non, and an assortment of Screaming Eagle. Top Champagnes include two 6-bottle lots of 1996 Salon (lots 1667-1668, est. $3,000-4,500) and 2 bottles of 2000 Krug, Clos du Mesnil (lot 1664, est. $1,400-2,000). We are pleased once again to offer a selection from The Fox Cellar (lots 1352-1575) which includes an outstanding range of 2016 Bordeaux, all purchased as futures.

The final session on Saturday, June 22nd features An Exceptional Cache of 1989 Bordeaux in Full Cases and Large Formats as well as DRC Dating Back to 1976 (lots 2946-3167). The group is comprised of 222 lots of incredible provenance with an estimated value of $609,340-913,020. Bordeaux back to 1964 is showcased, with a stunning range of First Growths, many in full cases. Bidders should note the array of 1989 vintage offerings in the collection, including two full cases of 1989 Château Pétrus (lots 3048-3049, est. $30,000-45,000); an imperial of 1989 Château Haut-Brion (lot 3015, est. $14,000-20,000); and a full case of 1989 Château Lafite Rothschild (lot 3018, est. $6,000-9,000). An outstanding selection of Burgundy is offered in the group as well like a single bottle of 1988 Romanée-Conti, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (lot 3095, est. $12,000-18,000) and two bottles of 1987 Montrachet, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (lot 3117, est. $6,500-9,500).
