The revered TRU Restaurant has been Hart Davis Hart’s exclusive auction venue for the last 10 years. Since its conception in 1999, TRU has consistently ranked among the best restaurants in Chicago and has become a destination for innovative fine dining. When HDH was founded in 2005, TRU was an obvious partner. The restaurant’s dedication to service and high-quality cuisine made it the perfect place to hold our auctions. We are thrilled to be able to celebrate our long and happy partnership with a special dinner featuring the coveted wines of Bruno Giacosa.

Third generation winemaker, Bruno Giacosa, has worked in the vineyards of Northern Italy since 1944, producing complex and powerful wines that serve as standard-bearers for both Barolo and Barbaresco. While he takes advantage of a few improved techniques, Giacosa remains a traditionalist at heart, and above all else strives to capture the essence of the vines and terroir in his wines. According to Robert Parker, “He is known by virtually all of his colleagues and peers in Piedmont as ‘The Professor of Nebbiolo’ or ‘The Great Man’ or ‘The Maestro.’”
