"The 2016 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jean offers up a reserved nose of lemon and lime zest, pastry cream, toasted nuts and bread. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied intense and concentrated, with a glossy attack, broader shoulders than the Clos de la Maltroie and excellent depth and purity. It should develop positively with bottle age over the coming decade." William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"Medium straw-yellow. Subdued, musky aromas of yellow fruits, wet stone and flowers. A step up in body and solidity from the Vergers, but with well-integrated acidity giving it a youthful impression. This tactile, concentrated midweight offers early appeal but it finishes with an element of tannic structure that reminded me of a red wine and will almost certainly reward some patience."
