"A brooding and reticent nose reluctantly offers up an attractively spicy array of crushed leaf, plum, dark currant and plenty of forest floor character. There is an attractive sleekness to the bigger and richer flavors that brim with sappy dry extract that serves to buffer the very firm core of tannins on the even longer finish. This also needs to add some depth but the firm structure makes it clear that this is certainly constructed to age well over the longer-term." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 77

"The 2017 Corton-Rognet Grand Cru has a refined, perfumed bouquet, with scents of peony emerging with time. This is very pretty and winsome. The fresh palate is well balanced with fine tannin, perfectly judged acidity and a sophisticated finish that does this appellation proud. There is a wonderful, persistent saline aftertaste. Excellent." Neal Martin, Vinous.com

"Mid greyish crimson. Pure, dark and peppery on the nose. Fragrant in its dark fruit and just a little floral. Not exuberant yet and just a touch smoky. Super-fine tannins that are already supple. Dry finesse and all to play for. Really refined." Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com
