TASTING NOTES
"Bright purple. Heady smoke- and mineral-accented aromas of ripe black and blue fruits, incense and floral pastilles, with hints of mocha and cola slowly emerging. Densely packed and alluringly sweet, offering palate-staining blueberry and cherry-vanilla flavors and a sexy Indian spice flourish. Sappy, smooth and seamless, finishing with powerful thrust; velvety tannins come in late to add shape and gentle grip." Josh Raynolds, Vinous.com

"A firm and chewy wine with lots of wood and a lightly dry finish. Full body, fresh acidity and a clean and flavorful finish. Excellent fruit underneath. Drink or hold." JamesSuckling.com

"The 2011 Termanthia is dark and brooding with notes of peat and damp earth, shoe polish and plenty of smoky, spicy notes from the barrel. The palate is full-bodied, but seems a little too extracted with drying tannins toward the end. It seems a bit too extracted and dry. It might improve with time in bottle, as it is too young. Drink 2015-2019." Luis Gutiérrez, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #214

"This big red features a plush texture, with an iron backbone of tannins. Blackberry, licorice, cocoa and mineral flavors are brightened by citrusy acidity. Fresh and lively. Drink now through 2029. 300 cases imported." Wine Spectator
