We will hold a massive mobile-only auction on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. This exceptional sale will include over 4,100 lots of incredible diversity and provenance, estimated to realize $2-3 million. Bidders can utilize HDH’s industry leading bidding platform, available via mobile app (available on Android and iOS devices) or website (auction.hdhwine.com). Following the resounding success of HDH’s first two mobile auctions, the firm is excited to announce that it will now be holding these online-only sales on a more regular basis. Nearly 1,000 bidders participated in the January mobile auction, using the app or website to easily and efficiently place bids.

Following the resounding success of HDH’s first two mobile auctions, the firm is excited to announce that they will now be holding these online-only sales on a more regular basis. Much of the consigned property that was previously offered on the HDH retail site will now be included in these sales, so bidders can expect to find a wide range of wines, from rare collectibles to bottles for everyday drinking. In conjunction with this change, HDH will now be offering a much more focused selection of wines at retail. HDH retail will continue to be the finest source for Bordeaux futures and other château-direct offerings and the firm will increase the offerings from their partners in Burgundy, California, and other top wine regions.

HDH’s March sale contains an estimated $512,820-768,880 of Bordeaux including twelve bottles of 2005 Château Pavie (lot 2813, est. $2,600-3,800), three full-case lots of 1996 Château Léoville Las Cases (lots 1379-1381, est. $2,400-3,500), and a single bottle of 1990 Château Pétrus (lot 985, est. $2,200-3,200). We’re pleased to offer an installment of the Josue V. Harari Collection (lots 1-358) which features mature vintages of classified Bordeaux, many of which are in large format bottles. Highlights include three double magnums of 2000 Château Lafite Rothschild (lot 76, est. $10,000-15,000), an imperial of 2003 Château Latour (lot 106, est. $4,000-6,000), and six bottles of 2001 Château Lafleur (lot 100, est. $1,500-2,200).

In addition to the impressive range of Bordeaux, Hart Davis Hart’s March auction boasts a deep selection of California’s greatest wines, including Colgin, Diamond Creek, Harlan, Schrader, and many more. Collectors should also take note of the 400 lots of Italian red wine (est. $179,210-269,120), 374 lots of Red Burgundy (est. $154,800-232,490), and 242 lots of Rhône (est. $94,490-142,740).

HDH rolled out its revolutionary bidding technology in March of 2015. The platform, which can be used for both absentee and live bidding, has been an integral part of every auction since and has greatly improved and enhanced the bidding experience. Using the HDH mobile bidding platform allows bidders to participate from anywhere in the world. Thousands of clients have downloaded the app and many more have bid online, increasing the number of participants in each auction dramatically. HDH is thrilled to be using this interactive and user-friendly technology to facilitate the March sale and their future mobile-only auctions.
