Hart Davis Hart Wine Auction Brings In $2,831,828

The auction was held in Chicago this past weekend, where Hart Davis Hart sold 100% of its lots, with 78% of them going for more than was estimated.

The most expensive lot of the day included 6 bottles of 1971 Romanée-Conti which brought in $59,750. A case of 1982 Château Pétrus achieved $38,240 and four cases of 1982 Lafite-Rothschild sold to the same Asian buyer for $33,460 each.

Bidders participated from 39 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, as well as Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and Venezuela.

Overall, Hart Davis Hart has sold $12,566,715 worth of wine so far this year, and still has three more auctions before the end of the year.

Pretty impressive.
