"Firm reduction dominates the nose today. Otherwise there is a sleek and vibrant mouthfeel to the mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that possess both good volume and underlying tension that also suffuses the length, firm and slightly rustic finale. Like the Chambolle villages, this is not a Chambolle 1er of refinement." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 69

"The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru is a blend of Les Cras and Les Feusselottes, matured in around 55% new oak. It has a slightly more earthy, tobacco-tinged bouquet that opens nicely in the glass, though perhaps never quite slips into fifth gear. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, silky smooth in texture with a slightly gourmand finish. Despite the aromatics being rather taciturn at the moment, this would be my pick from the negoçiant arm of Méo-Camuzet this year." Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #234

"Bright, dark red. Slightly reduced aromas of red cherry, raspberry and musky menthol. Silky and sweet on the palate, but with nicely integrated acidity and a mineral element giving shape to the wine. The rich finish displays rising length. A very successful combination of the rich entry of Feusselottes with the firmness and minerality of Cras." Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com
