"Pale, bright yellow. Wonderfully complex scents of lemon, lime, orange oil, quinine, vanilla and hazelnut. Rich, creamy and sweet in the mouth, but with strong integrated acidity giving shape and lift to this wonderfully silky Meursault. Really fat with fruit and extremely long on the aftertaste. Not at all austere but classic and old-fashioned for the vintage. It would be a crime not to give this several years in the cellar." Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com

"This is also wonderfully elegant with its layered and airy array of exotic spices, cool white fruit and pretty floral nuances. There is terrific intensity to the detailed and vibrant medium weight flavors that possess a caressing mouth feel, all wrapped in a stony and massively persistent finale that displays plenty of salinity. This is also extremely tight and is going to require at least 6 to 8 years of cellar time just to be approachable and should reward 12 to 15." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Issue 63

"The 2013 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières has a precise bouquet, tightly wound at first, eventually revealing marine influences, hints of cockle (saltwater clam) and oyster shell, something estuarine here. The palate has impressive volume, but it is the texture that really makes the headlines, almost honeyed – a Meursault with real richness fanning out towards the finish with just a hint of Turkish Delight. This is a hedonistic Meursault Genevrières that might be earlier-drinking than either the 2012 or what I suspect will be the 2014." Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Interim Issue

"Lightly scented with sweet herbs. Not the focus of some of the more intense white burgundies but with breadth and charm." JancisRobinson.com
